Delta At The Top Of The Charts 28th October 2007
Delta’s third album Delta debuted on the ARIA charts this week at #1, with platinum status already. The new album contains 12 tracks, all of which have been added to the Lyrics section. Another bonus track was made available to download on iTunes, called Right Here In My Heart, and its lyrics have also been added. Details of the album have been updated in the Discography section, as well as long overdue information on Delta’s film Hating Alison Ashley. Tonight, Delta also made an appearance at the 21st annual ARIA awards, presenting the best male and female awards with singer Ben Lee. Also this week, Delta performed three songs at the Plaza for Sunrise, In This Life, You Will Only Break My Heart and Not Me, Not I, before going on to sign copies of her new album.
Number 1 23rd
In This Life debuted on the ARIA charts this week and, no surprises, reached the top spot. This marks Delta’s eighth Australian number 1 single and fourth single to debut at #1. I have updated the Discography section to include this chart position. Also this week, an exclusive track, Breathe In Breathe Out, was made available to download on iTunes. The lyrics of this song have been added to the Lyrics section.
In This Life & Delta 16th
In This Life was released in Australian stores yesterday, and the single includes 2 CDs. The first version contains a B-side, called Take Me Home, which is a dance-influenced track. The lyrics to the song can be found in the updated Lyrics section. The second version includes an acoustic mix of In This Life. Delta has also confirmed that the title of her third album will be simply Delta, details of which can be found in the Discography section. It has also been revealed that Delta intends to stay in Australia until Christmas, before promoting her new music in the UK.
In This Life Premiere 29th
Delta’s new single, In This Life, received its premiere on Australian radio on Tuesday morning, and along with that Delta gave a few interview. She has revealed that Believe Again, her favourite track from the third album, is set to be the second single. Meanwhile, Delta’s official site has been reopened and lots of new content has been put up. Today, Delta also answered questions on the official forum, in a topic you can view here.
I have now updated the Discography section with information about In This Life, and also have added the lyrics. I have also made a long overdue update to the Gallery. While I am working on the new Planet Delta website at http://planetdelta.sitesled.com/2008, you can play a little memory game I’ve put up there, however, I don’t know whether the high score works.
I have updated the Discography and the Lyrics sections with information on the Delta songs and releases from 2006. This includes Together We Are One, the Japanese release of Innocent Eyes and Delta’s duets with Tony Bennett and Westlife.
In This Life 19th
So, so sorry for the site being so inactive for nearly two years! I know I promised an update, but I’ve realised just how much work it would be. However, on the bright side, we are now preparing ourselves for Delta’s third album and there’ll be lots happening in the coming weeks. It has recently been revealed that the first single from Delta’s new album will be In This Life, and you can hear a short clip of this here. In This Life will premiere in full on Australian radio on 28th August before being released on 15th September in Australia. The as yet untitled third album is due to be released on 20th October.
Another piece of exciting news is that Delta’s official site is having a redesign, and there’s now only 8 days before the new site is launched. Every day coming up to that date, we will see a new video message from Delta. And when the new website is launched, I promise you all that Planet Delta will also be redesigned to fit in with the new look Delta.
Be Strong 17th
Due to popular demand, the Be Strong single will now be released on 17th October. It will still be a digital single, but will now feature two additional B-side tracks - live versions of Be Strong and Last Night On Earth, both recorded at the Sydney Superdome during the Visualise Tour. The single can be bought at Sanity Music and other online music retailers.
I will be updating this site more often, hopefully, so I apologise for the lack of updates.
As Im sure you all know, Deltas new single, Be Strong, will be released digitally on 9th October, and the Visualise Tour DVD is set to be released on 14th November. Delta has also been taking America by storm, after performing on the Today Show and the World Music Awards. Lost Without You has been released to radio, and has peaked at #18 on the Adult Contemporary Radio Airplay charts. Deltas debut US album, Born To Try, will be released on 24th October, which will include a mixture of the songs from Innocent Eyes and Mistaken Identity, as well as a new song, called Never Fades Away.
Back to the website, and I have updated the Discography section with information about Deltas new releases. I have also added some more B-side lyrics, which can be found in the Lyrics section. Please take the time to sign the Guestbook as well, and let me know what you think of the site.
Sorry for the lack of updates on this site, but Im back, and Planet Delta is better! There is now a Guestbook, so please enter any comments youd like. I have also added a Games page, where you can play hangman, Delta Goodrem style! I have also updated the Discography section with more information about Deltas releases, and added the lyrics for Hollow No More in the Lyrics section.
I have updated the Discography section with information about Deltas new singles, Mistaken Identity and Almost Here, as well as the sheet music for Mistaken Identity. I have also added two radio interviews that Delta & Brian McFadden gave on Capital FM, which can be found in the Downloads section.
28th November 2004
Delta Goodrems new single Out Of The Blue went straight to the number 1 spot in Australia, while managing to reach #9 in the UK. Deltas new album Mistaken Identity, released on the 8th November in Australia, also made it to #1, however it failed to reach the top 20 in the UK, reaching the #25 spot.
New Releases 2nd October 2004
Delta Goodrem has confirmed the release of her new single entitled Out Of The Blue. It has already hit Australian radio stations and will be in stores on the 11th October. Co-written by Delta and producer Guy Chambers, the single is the first one to be taken from Deltas highly-anticipated second album, currently under the working title of Mistaken Identity. Out Of The Blue will be released in the UK on 8th November and the album is due to be released on 22nd November. Delta has also recently recorded a duet with former Westlife member, Brian McFadden. The lyrics for Out Of The Blue can be seen here.
